Job Description

So, what will your new role look like?

As a Senior Developer in the Migrate Foundation team, you’ll help drive complex, high-impact projects that shape the foundations of ShareGate Migrate. The team’s mandate is to empower our Feature Development Teams by building and maintaining the shared code, services, and infrastructure they rely on. You’ll work on modernizing both our desktop application and our web services, while also taking a leadership role in setting technical direction and shaping how the team works.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to projects that modernize our desktop application, web services, and core architecture;
  • Partner with other developers to design, implement, and deliver solutions from end to end;
  • Collaborate with feature teams to ensure platform improvements meet their needs;
  • Support and improve our build infrastructure and delivery pipelines;
  • Take ownership of technical direction and help structure the team’s ways of working;
  • Mentor and support junior developers in planning and execution;
  • Propose and drive impactful improvements that raise the standard for the whole department.

A typical week?

  • Our process is intentionally light, with only a few structured meetings and lots of focus time.
  • Each week, you’ll spend time coding, reviewing, coaching developers, and leading design.
  • You’ll guide one or two projects from concept through delivery alongside your teammates.
  • You’ll also connect with other teams to understand challenges and ensure we add value.

What does your future team look like?

The Migrate Foundation team is a tight-knit group of experienced, versatile developers. The team thrives on collaboration, banter, and professionalism, with a strong eye for good engineering practices. We work across a wide range of technologies, and our success comes from producing high-quality, reusable foundations that power the work of every other development team.

What are the next challenges awaiting your team?

Over the next year, Foundation will:

  • Complete the rollout of ShareGate’s new subscription and licensing system;
  • Overhaul and consolidate Migrate’s web services onto a new cloud infrastructure;
  • Drive major architecture improvements to modularize the codebase and optimize build processes;
  • Support high-profile features like ShareGate’s upcoming PowerShell 7 support or Google Workspace Migrations.

All of this on which technical stack?

  • C#, .NET, WPF;
  • Azure, Azure DevOps;
  • Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm;
  • MongoDB.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in mobile or desktop development, ideally in a product-oriented environment;
  • Experience in full-stack web development and operating services in the cloud (Azure preferred);
  • Strong command of C# and the .NET ecosystem;
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform);
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: you ask questions, make proposals, and move forward without waiting for everything to be perfectly defined;
  • Autonomous and organized: you prioritize your time wisely, take full ownership of your work, and drive projects to completion with attention to quality;
  • Mentorship: you help junior developers grow by sharing knowledge, giving feedback, and raising the quality of their work.

Who we are

We’re a team of curious minds and bold builders, brought together by a shared drive to make work simpler - and better - for everyone. Challenges fuel our creativity, fast-paced environments keep us sharp, and pushing boundaries is just part of how we operate. We believe the best ideas come from experimentation, rapid learning, and even the occasional discomfort - that’s where growth happens.

Since 2006, we’ve been rethinking the way teams work, blending creativity and tech to solve real problems in IT and HR. We move quickly, we learn constantly, and we always keep our customers at the center of what we do. If you're a proactive thinker who takes ownership, loves to collaborate, and isn’t afraid to leap into the unknown - you’ll fit right in.
