Water.org is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing safe water and sanitation to the world. Founded by Gary White and Matt Damon, we have made it our mission for over 30 years to help remove the barriers that keep people living in poverty from accessing essential water and sanitation services. With access to safe water, individuals can achieve better health, education, and economic opportunities.

Through our innovative solutions and financial models, we have empowered more than 73 million people with access to safe water and sanitation. Our approach includes the pioneering WaterCredit initiative, which provides small, affordable loans to families for water and sanitation services. By facilitating this access, we not only improve individual lives but also promote community development and gender equality, as women often bear the primary responsibility for collecting water. We work with partners around the world to mobilize capital and foster sustainable solutions.
