We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and evangelistic Developer Relations Lead to join our team at WalletConnect, reporting into our CEO.

The Role:

Are you passionate about creating unforgettable brand experiences and orchestrating impactful events? WalletConnect is seeking a dynamic and creative Brand Activation & Events Lead to spearhead our efforts in amplifying our brand presence and engaging with our community on a global scale. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and execute innovative activation strategies and events that leave a lasting impression and drive adoption of our platform.

Day to Day:

• Lead the ideation, planning, and execution of engaging events, including our flagship event, WalletCon, conference activations, hackathons, workshops, virtual events, and in-person meetups that align with WalletConnect's brand identity and strategic objectives.
• Manage all aspects of sponsor coordination, event logistics, including budgeting, venue selection, vendor negotiations, contract management, attendee registration, and on-site coordination.
• Collaborate closely with partners in Marketing, Product, Community and Developer teams to develop event content, promotional materials, and attendee engagement strategies.
• Drive attendance and participation through targeted outreach, marketing campaigns, and partnership collaborations.
• Develop post-event evaluation frameworks to measure the success of events against defined KPIs, gathering feedback from attendees and stakeholders to inform future event strategies.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovative event experiences and strategic partnerships.
• Build and maintain relationships with event partners, sponsors, speakers, and influencers to enhance WalletConnect's presence within the blockchain and crypto ecosystem. Manage event opportunities with partners and ensure Walletconnect shows up in a premium, impactful way across all owned and partnered engagements.
• Represent WalletConnect at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events, showcasing our platform and fostering meaningful connections with key stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of proven experience in planning and executing successful events, with a strong portfolio showcasing your event management skills and creativity.
• Experience in managing a variety of event types from tentpole brand events to tech events/hackathons to bespoke VIP experiences.
• Exceptional project management abilities, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver high-quality events on schedule.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and event attendees.
• Proficiency in event management tools and software, such as event registration platforms, project management software, and virtual event platforms.
• Passion and experience within the blockchain and crypto space, with a desire to stay informed about the latest trends, developments, and innovations shaping the industry.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for events and conferences as needed.
