Responsibilities
Verify patient insurance coverage accurately and efficiently.
Obtain pre-authorizations for therapy procedures as needed.
Collecting patient balances and following up on statements.
Update patient files and records with up-to-date insurance and authorization details.
Liaise with insurance providers to confirm coverage, benefits, and authorization requirements.
Communicate insurance out-of-pocket estimates and benefit changes with the clinic team.
Collaborate with the team to track and report payer trends or changes in policy coverage.
Assist patients with questions related to insurance and authorizations.

Requirements
Experience in insurance verification and authorization coordination, preferably in a physical therapy or medical setting.
Strong knowledge of insurance terminology and benefits structure (e.g., deductibles, co-pays, OOP max).
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple verifications daily, and respond quickly to changing requirements.
Comfortable working remotely while staying highly responsive and engaged with the team.
A proactive mindset that contributes to team collaboration and shared knowledge on payer updates.
