Position Summary:
The Senior IT Technical Analyst (Windows & Cloud) is part of a team responsible for ensuring the stable operation of the organization’s server infrastructure, including hardware (rack servers and storage arrays), software (Microsoft Windows, Linux, and VMWare), and cloud-based services. Additionally, the team manages the organization's collaboration and productivity tools, email security, anti-virus measures, and hardware/system monitoring.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Support and manage all Server and Storage infrastructure following best practice standards.
- Oversee all aspects of server management, including installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, documentation, performance, security management, and disaster recovery.
- Manage and administer cloud resources to ensure uptime, security, and scalability, with a focus on Microsoft Azure and Entra.
- Implement and enforce cloud security policies, controls, and compliance requirements.
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Serve as the escalation point for lower-tier analysts.
- Create system documentation during implementation and maintain it as system changes occur.
- Conduct research and provide recommendations on server hardware, storage infrastructure, services, and standards to support technology solutions for the organization.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies in cloud computing, security threats, advisories, relevant patches, and upgrades related to server and storage infrastructure.
- Plan and coordinate system utilization, reporting, maintenance, growth analysis, and capacity planning for the storage infrastructure.
- Utilize and manage security tools such as EDR software, intrusion prevention and detection systems, vulnerability assessment software, and SIEM.
- Configure and maintain the IT help desk system and IT monitoring and configuration tools.
- Provide input into the departmental budget for IT.
- Work in a 24/7 environment and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
Position Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with enterprise infrastructure in a medium or large organization.
- A 2-year diploma from a recognized institution in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of recent and relevant education, training, and experience.
- Current certifications such as VCP, MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Network+, and Linux+ are advantageous.
- Proficiency in the administration and use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Active Directory, Entra, Azure, Microsoft 365, Ubuntu Linux, and VMWare ESXi.
- Understanding of the operations of an IT help desk and the creation of system documentation.
- Effective communication skills to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze and interpret security data to identify trends and potential threats.
