Responsibilities

We are looking for a Head of HR to lead and build up our recruiting and people operations functions.

  • Be the first HR person at the company handling recruiting and HR topics hands-on.

  • Own and manage the full-cycle recruiting process across roles and departments (sourcing, conducting & organizing interviews, offer discussion, onboarding).

  • Source candidates actively through LinkedIn, referrals, etc.

  • Review applications and manage the interview process in the ATS, ensuring a positive candidate experience.

  • Conducting initial screening interviews with applicants, making sure they meet our requirements, and match our company culture.

  • Manage and continuously improve the onboarding process for new hires.

  • Oversee and structure internal people management processes (performance reviews, employee surveys, benefits management, time-off management)

  • Act as a key point of contact for all HR inquiries.

  • Define and standardize HR policies, internal documentation, and workflows.

  • Build out the HR department and define the HR strategy.

Requirements

  • Experience being the first/early HR hire in a fast-growing B2B software startup.

  • Demonstrated success scaling the HR department in an international, B2B software startup (50-200 people, Series A+), combining tactical execution with strategic planning.

  • Willingness to work hands-on on recruiting and people ops topics.

  • Extensive experience in both recruiting and HR/People Operations.

  • Proven track record of managing the full-cycle recruiting process for various roles, from deeply technical roles to go-to-market teams.

  • Familiarity with international (EOR) and US employment practices.

  • Experience working with ATS and HRIS, preferably Ashby and Rippling, and other modern tools, such as Slack, Google Suite, ChatGPT, and Notion.

  • Flexibility to conduct interviews with candidates in different time zones (from Eastern Europe to US West).

  • Good understanding of market-standard compensation, equity, and benefits across various countries and roles.

  • Talent to organize and set up processes with a strong attention to detail.

  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and trustworthiness.

  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for creating a positive experience for applicants and employees.

  • Bonus: Experience in the cloud-native/Kubernetes industry.
