V2X Professional Services is seeking a reliable and experienced Working Supervisor to join our team. The Technical Working Supervisor/Engagement Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of a team. This role involves providing leadership, training, and guidance to team members, as well as actively participating in the work alongside the team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively manage time and resources to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively and have an in-depth knowledge of automotive technical and dealership operations.

Specific roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and guide a team of employees to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to identify candidates and coordinate with dealerships to promote interview opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multiple partners and program candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience and strong employer engagement.
  • Stay informed about automotive industry trends, labor market conditions, and best practices in recruitment to continuously improve the engagement process.
  • Supervising a team of technical instructors and managing training schedules.
  • Mentor and coach team members to help them develop their skills and achieve their goals.
  • Resolve conflicts and address performance issues within the team.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Conduct quality checks and implement improvements to enhance the overall performance of the team.
  • Ensure that safety regulations and company policies are always followed.
  • Act as a role model for team members by demonstrating a strong work ethic, professionalism, and dedication to excellence.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Required skills:

  • Minimum four years’ automotive technician experience
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and effectively manage time is crucial for a working supervisor to ensure that work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate the team, resolving conflicts and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strong customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in technology, training requirements, and industry trends to continuously improve training programs.
  • Flexibility for local and/or overnight travel as required (up to 25%).

Desired skills:

  • ASE Master Certification.
  • Previous Recruitment Experience.
  • Previous Leadership Experience.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in automotive technology.
  • Four years combined automotive technician and automotive instructor experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
