As an RFP Manager you will own the front end of build planning and bid response for outside-plant (OSP) construction. This role converts KMZ/KML and other geospatial data into clear, constructible routes; develops quantity takeoffs; identifies risks; and produces compliant, on-time RFP responses. Success requires strong map literacy, rigorous bid/compliance discipline, and practical construction judgement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full RFP/bid lifecycle for telecom projects, from opportunity review to final submission.
- Analyze KMZ/KML, GIS maps, and project documentation to develop routes, scopes of work, and bills of materials.
- Prepare cost estimates and pricing based on project scope, location, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, compliance) to ensure accurate and timely proposals.
- Ensure proposals meet client requirements and company compliance standards.
- Track submitted bids and support handoff to contracts for awarded projects.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 3-5 years experiencing drafting, pricing and submitting RFP bids or proposals.
- 3+ years of leadership or team coordination experience.
- Strong knowledge of telecom infrastructure (OSP, FTTH, wireless, or fulfillment services).
- Experience reviewing KMZ/KML or GIS mapping data.
- Strong analytical and pricing skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
