What We Can Achieve Together:

The Human Resources Generalist for Latin America plays a critical role in advancing the People Team’s priorities by supporting the HR Director, LAR, HR Business Partner, HR Generalists, and Talent Acquisition teams. This role helps implement and execute key people programs that are essential to attracting, developing, deploying, and managing a geographically dispersed workforce across the Latin America region.

We’re Looking for You:

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Specialist for Latin America, the Human Resources Generalist (HRG) provides comprehensive HR support across the nine countries and 10 Business Units where TNC operates in Latin America. The role works in close partnership with global People teams (including Benefits, Employee Relations, Payroll, and others) and key regional stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality HR services for LAR staff and Business Units.

The HR Generalist is responsible for administering and maintaining HR systems, programs, procedures, and plans in alignment with organizational policies, regional practices, and local labor legislation. This role also serves as an advisor and point of contact for employees and supervisors at all levels on a wide range of HR-related matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

HR Systems, Data & Reporting

  • Serve as Workday regional expert and backup, acting as the primary point of contact for system-related questions and issues.

  • Track system incidents, identify opportunities for improvement, and communicate best practices and updates to stakeholders.

  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and analysis in Workday as required by management and approved by HR leadership.

Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with People Team stakeholders and regional partners to improve service delivery, influence change, and streamline HR processes.

  • Provide consultation on job descriptions, grade levels, and compensation targets, ensuring alignment with TNC policies and local legislation.

  • Stay current on internal HR policies and local employment laws, ensuring guidance and practices remain compliant.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Support

  • Support supervisors with the review and development of job descriptions, aligned with TNC frameworks and local labor requirements.

  • Provide ongoing support to the Talent Acquisition Specialist, including:

    • Follow‑up with hiring managers and interview panels

    • Identifying outreach channels and collaborating with partner organizations to promote vacancies

    • Preparing recruitment materials (e.g., infographics, presentations)

  • Supporting recruitment-related training for staff

  • Assisting with candidate screening and offer letter processes

  • Manage contracts and invoices related to external recruitment and HR service providers.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Ensure a consistent, welcoming, and compliant onboarding experience across the region in coordination with supervisors and Operations teams.

  • Facilitate HR onboarding sessions for new hires, covering policies, benefits, and regional HR processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years HR related work experience or equivalent combination.

  • Experience supporting HR operations across multiple countries, including handling and resolving employee and manager HR inquiries related to local labor laws, policies, and practices in a timely and professional manner (preferably within Latin America).

  • Advanced analytical skills with experience using Excel and HR systems (preferably Workday) to manage data, reports, and support HR operations.

  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese (written and verbal)

  • Advanced conversational English required, including the ability to: Participate actively in meetings and communicate with global HR teams and stakeholders.
