We’re seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to take charge of designing, deploying, and maintaining the IT infrastructure critical to our organization’s seamless operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in server administration, virtualization platforms, Microsoft 365, and Azure services, along with proficiency in PowerShell scripting. While not mandatory, an understanding of coding, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, and experience with Terraform and DevOps practices is recommended for success in this role. The candidate will work closely with our IT team and architecture team to ensure our systems remain dependable, secure, and optimized for maximum productivity, while adhering to Agile workflow methodologies.

Job Highlights

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Work: Lead and participate in IT infrastructure projects, including the design, deployment, and maintenance of server systems, cloud services, and virtualization platforms. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Deployment: Oversee the deployment of IT infrastructure components, including Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments. Implement system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaboration with Architecture Team: Work closely with the architecture team to design and implement scalable and secure IT infrastructure solutions. Ensure alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
  • Cloud Technologies: Experience with Azure cloud services, including setup, configuration, and management. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services, such as Intune (Endpoint Manager), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Endpoint Protection Manager (EPM), and the Microsoft stack in Azure.
  • Backup Solutions: Experience with Veeam backup and replication solutions, including setup, configuration, and management. Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  • Scripting and Automation: Ability to script in PowerShell for automation of routine tasks and configuration management. Understanding of coding and scripting languages to support infrastructure automation.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage infrastructure using IaC principles and tools like Terraform to automate deployment and configuration processes.
  • Agile Workflow: Participate in Agile workflow methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Setup monitoring systems and tools to ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of our IT infrastructure. Experience with monitoring platforms like Datadog or Site24x7 is a plus.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Respond to IT infrastructure-related issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime. Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to troubleshoot complex problems and implement solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of IT infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate regular reports on system performance, capacity, and security metrics.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or a similar role.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with enterprise-level monitoring platforms (Datadog, Site24x7, etc.).
  • Experience in a Healthcare environment.
  • Experience with server administration and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Familiarity with Terraform and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of Agile workflow methodologies.
