This position leads technical design, modification, development, testing, and documentation of complex software solutions (purchased software, internally developed software, software modifications, and software interfaces/integrations) that execute independently or as part of a larger information system. Performs business process/workflow programming, innovative, complex data conversion, report programming, design, testing, and debugging work related to the implementation, enhancement, and support of ERP modules. These modules include Human Resources, Payroll, Financial, Materials Management, Real Estate, Business Warehouse, and related Workflows/business processes.
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Modifies and implements business process designs, oversees development of test plans and testing of software (in-house, purchased, or enhanced purchased software) solutions of high complexity. Builds interfaces/integrations between various software packages and/or applications. Develops reports using data from multiple sources, ensuring all data is synchronized and accurate. Analyzes business processes and prioritizes user development requirements to achieve maximum efficiency in software for projects committed. Develops technical documentation of development projects. Performs moderate- to-advanced-level problem analysis and debugging on software applications. Accomplishes these development activities systems with a significant level of independence.
Communicates with functional team members and users to gather requirements and convey progress on tasks to facilitate an iterative business process development life cycle. Stays abreast of changes to UT policy and state and federal regulatory changes to determine effects on software systems.
Researches, trains, and leads new technology initiatives as requested. Coaches and collaborates with other programming staff on development techniques and practices.

A high school diploma and programming experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. The years of experience will determine level offered to selected candidate.

Logic/programming skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer-service oriented; and an ability to translate user-requirements into a deliverable product independently with minimal technical supervision. Preferred qualifications include business process/workflow programming and report development skills with Oracle software and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree and related Oracle certifications such as Oracle HCM or Financials Business Process Foundations Associate.
Expert understanding and usage of Oracle business process design tools, SQL and/or Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), BI Publisher, or Microsoft Power BI; Capable of interacting with multiple user groups to understand and identify requirements for software enhancements; Coordinate with teams for report specifications and translate user requirements; Implementation and usage of enhancement framework possibilities; Understanding of interface/integration tools and techniques such as Oracle OIC, FTP, ALE, EDI, API, XML and web services; Excellent analytical skills and the ability to use debug and trace analysis techniques to troubleshoot; Good communication skills, creative, and self-motivated; Able to work productively and collaboratively in a team environment.

Benefits and Compensation
Compensation for the position is budgeted for:
IT Software Developer 1 - $65,000 to $75,000
IT Software Developer 2 - $75,000 to $85,000
IT Software Developer 3 - $85,000 to $95,000
IT Software Developer 4 - $95,000 to $105,000.
