Description
The College of Pharmacy, Department of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Michigan seeks highly qualified applicants, for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor/Associate Professor ranks. Outstanding candidates in the area of computational chemistry applied to medicinal chemistry and chemical biology are particularly encouraged to apply.
Faculty in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry engage in innovative and inclusive teaching, cutting-edge interdisciplinary research, and impactful University service. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a vigorous, externally funded research program, to become scientific leaders in their respective fields, and to participate in departmental and program activities, including teaching and mentoring at the graduate, post-doctoral, undergraduate, and PharmD levels.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in chemistry, medicinal chemistry, computer science, or a related field. Applicants must also demonstrate a strong potential for leadership in research and professional activities, a strong commitment to the educational objectives of the graduate, professional, and undergraduate degree programs at the College, and a strong commitment to supporting the College’s mission to educate and inspire a diverse group of future pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists to be leaders, advance patient care, and improve health for all.
