Overview

As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a full‑stack development team (backend and frontend) reporting directly to you. Your impact includes unlocking the team’s potential, balancing rapid bug fixes with long‑term research initiatives, and driving the entire engineering lifecycle.

What success looks like

• Short‑term: Establish trust with the engineering team, streamline agile workflows, and ensure reliable, high‑quality releases.
• Long‑term: Scale platform architecture, support comprehensive web‑based collaboration, and foster a resilient, high‑performance culture.

Responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between Product Management, Design, cross‑functional Unity teams, and Studio engineers to ensure clear communication and strategic alignment.
• Champion technical excellence by guiding architectural decisions, overseeing PR reviews, and managing a streamlined release process.
• Balance product velocity with platform health by translating technical pain points into actionable roadmaps.
• Drive engineering execution by optimizing agile methodologies, unblocking developers, and ensuring predictable delivery of high‑quality features.
• Foster a high‑performance, supportive culture by mentoring and coaching the team, guiding professional development and career growth.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing full‑stack engineering teams; rapid trust‑building, mentoring, and fostering high-performance culture.
• Hands‑on experience optimizing agile workflows and managing reliable quality release cycles while balancing live product stability and long‑term research.
• Ability to act as a bridge between Engineering, Product Management, Design, and other teams, translating complex technical challenges into clear roadmaps.
• Strong familiarity with full‑stack development, web technologies, and architectural decision‑making; ability to guide reviews and drive sound technical decisions.
• Experience scaling platform architecture to support ambitious goals, and passion for shaping future web‑based collaboration tools.

Desired experience

• Experience working in larger companies, acting as an interface with other teams and external partners.
• Experience creating gaming or 3D industry applications.
• Experience with backend technology (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Experience with DevOps pipelines and release processes.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into product workflows.
