Azure Cloud Operations Engineer

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for an Azure Cloud Operations Engineer to join our UniQue team!

What will you be doing in this role?

The ideal candidate will manage and maintain our client's enterprise-scale data environment. They will have strong expertise in Azure administration, operations, and infrastructure, with hands-on experience in Azure Synapse. This role focuses on ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of cloud-based data solutions within a large corporate environment.

This is an operations-focused position. The candidate will work closely with IT and data teams to support and optimize existing data infrastructure and services.

• Administer and monitor Azure cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure Synapse workspaces and related services.
• Support enterprise data environments for large-scale organizations (10,000+ employees), ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
• Collaborate with BI, analytics, and data engineering teams to maintain robust data pipelines and reporting systems.
• Implement and follow procedural standards, governance policies, and operational best practices.
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
• Document processes, configurations, and operational procedures.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in this position:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of experience in IT (or Master's degree and at least 3 years of experience)

• Excellent knowledge of Azure administration, operations, and infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience (minimum 1 year) with Azure Synapse.
• Proven experience working in large enterprise data centers (10,000+ employees) (minimum 1 year).
• Strong procedural and technical mindset; resilient and able to work under pressure.
• Azure-related certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Data Engineer) are a plus.
• (Optional) Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure DataLake Storage, and other Azure data analytics solutions.
• (Optional) Understanding of data engineering, ETL, data warehousing/lakehousing, dashboarding/reporting, or data governance.
• C1-level English proficiency (written and spoken).
