About the Role:
The EMR Specialist is an expert user in the company’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. The EMR Specialist is to assist employees in the use of the EMR system through the initial training and onboarding process as well as provide continual support as needed. The EMR Specialist is expected to remain as a master user of the EMR system by keeping abreast of new technology, system changes and through attending necessary training and education courses. The EMR Specialist is to ensure optimal performance of the EMR system and oversee its ease of use by all staff members.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintains users, passwords and security as related to the EMR system.
- Remains an expert user of the EMR system as a result of continuous and focused training. Maximizes knowledge of the operating system and mastering all system capabilities is a primary objective.
- Remains an expert user for any interfaced software to the EMR system.
- Attends continual training and education in EMR systems. Must be aware of all changes and capabilities in the EMR system.
- Reviews workflow and operations to ensure staff is maximizing the EMR to the fullest capability for improved efficiencies.
- Trains employees and staff on operation of the EMR system resulting in optimal individual user capabilities.
- Develops and maintains employee orientation and training programs to include manuals, training guides and one-on-one training.
- Creates and updates documents that allow for a more effective flow of information and gathering of data.
- Ensures the maintenance and proper operation of the EMR system corporate-wide.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
What We Expect for You:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience
- Valid Driver’s License is required
- EMR experience with Medent, Modernizing Medicine, or iSalus preferred.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.

Salary Range:Please note that the hourly range for this position will vary based on experience level, education and geographical location.
