About the Role

Our client is seeking the expertise of a freelance music composer to assist with arrangements for a melody they have written. This is a single job opportunity with the potential for follow-up work. The client is open to receiving budget offers from interested composers for this project.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the client to understand their vision and goals for the melody and overall composition.
• Study and analyze the provided melody, considering the client's preferred jazz style and influences.
• Compose and arrange the melody into a fully realized jazz composition, incorporating harmonies, chord progressions, and instrumental parts.
• Ensure that the arrangement complements and enhances the melody while staying true to the jazz genre.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a music composer with a strong portfolio showcasing jazz arrangements and compositions.
• In-depth knowledge of music theory, harmony, and jazz chord progressions.
• Proficiency in music notation software and the ability to produce professional-quality scores or lead sheets.
• Familiarity with various jazz styles and the ability to compose arrangements that capture the essence of the genre.
