About the Role
Our client is seeking a freelance animator for their project. The project involves creating high-quality animations that depict space and exoplanets on an ongoing basis, with an anticipated demand for content that may occupy a significant portion of a week on a regular basis. The desired style and quality should be similar to the finesse exhibited in a specific reference video which will be provided. The job is a remote opportunity, allowing the freelancer to work without any location-bound restrictions.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualise and create visually stunning space animations that accurately depict astronomical phenomena, such as exoplanets, galaxies, and celestial bodies.
- Study and interpret scientific data and reference materials to ensure the accuracy and realism of the animations.
- Collaborate with the client to understand the specific requirements and themes for each animation project.
- Develop storyboards or concept art to illustrate the proposed animation sequences.
Requirements
- Mid-level experience in space and astronomical animation, with a strong portfolio showcasing work in a similar style to the provided reference video.
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D animation software
- Solid understanding of animation principles, physics simulations, and rendering techniques.
- Knowledge of astronomy and space-related concepts to accurately depict celestial bodies and phenomena.
