As a Business Analyst at TSPi, you will be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in translating business needs into effective application solutions. Your role will be pivotal in understanding complex business requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and guiding the project team to deliver successful outcomes. Your expertise in Appian integrated technologies and business analysis will drive innovation, optimize business processes, and ensure the cloud solution aligns with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Lead requirements gathering efforts, conduct workshops, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and challenges.
  • Business Process Mapping: Analyze and map out existing business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation in Appian.
  • User Story Development: Create comprehensive and detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring they align with business objectives and user needs.
  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Analyze complex data sets, perform data modeling, and recommend data-driven solutions to address business challenges.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with architects, developers, and administrators to design effective cloud native solutions that meet business requirements and align with best practices.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage relationships with business stakeholders, keeping them informed about project progress and managing expectations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed functional specifications, business process documentation, and project status reports.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Oversee UAT activities, coordinate with business users for test planning, and ensure successful validation of implemented solutions.

Required Skills

Candidates applying for this role should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • 5+ years experience in the software development industry
  • Business Analysis Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role, with a strong track record of delivering successful Appian or case management related projects.
  • Requirements Elicitation: Proven ability to elicit and document complex business requirements, using a variety of techniques such as interviews, workshops, and surveys.
  • Business Process Analysis: Experience in analyzing and optimizing business processes, streamlining workflows, and suggesting process improvements.
  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Proficiency in data analysis, data modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Project Management: Understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to lead and manage project-related activities.

Additional Preferred Skills

Candidates with the following skills and experience will be given preference:

  • Appian Certifications.
  • Appian Experience: 1+ year of experience working with the Appian platform
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development practices and experience in working within Agile project environments, SAFe experience preferred.
  • Business Intelligence (BI) Skills: Knowledge of business intelligence tools (Jira preferred) and concepts to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Process Automation: Understanding of process automation capabilities.
  • Change Management: Experience in change management (Jira preferred) and assisting business users in adopting new processes and technologies.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job-related experience

Clearance Required

  • Public Trust

U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident Alien with at least three or more years of U.S. residency from the date of legal entry to the U.S.
