YOUR MISSION

We are revolutionizing spacecraft power systems and are looking for a candidate with a passion for electronics and new technologies. In this role you will develop new spacecraft FPGAs from concept through flight production supporting multiple flight products. You will gain experience at every phase of the spacecraft program including design, analysis, manufacturing, test, and flight. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design FPGA core functions, digital and analog I/O, and high-performance processing capabilities
  • Estimate and maintain inputs to development and production schedule and status reports
  • Collaborate with other mechanical, thermal, electrical, firmware, and software engineers to ensure the best product is delivered.
  • Drive improvements to minimize cost and schedule while maximizing reliability and capability

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • 5+ years of professional experience designing and delivering electrical hardware
  • Demonstrated experience in FPGA bare metal development
  • Demonstrated experience with FPGA firmware development
  • Demonstrated experience with register transfer level (RTL) and gate level development
  • Familiarity with common bus protocols such as USB, MIPI CSI2, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, ethernet etc.
  • High FPGA programming skills, Verilog synthesizable programming- Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL
  • Demonstrated experience with FPGA development tools such as Vitis and Vivado
  • Experience with embedded Linux kernel driver development
  • Proficiency in Python and C/C++
  • Ability to read and understand hardware circuit schematics
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with little input on requirements or management oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering
  • 8+ years experience developing and/or producing FPGA based electronics for space applications
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, and verifying signal processing algorithms targeting FPGA-based development platforms
  • Familiarity with UVM and System Verilog; ability to architect and build verification environments
  • Demonstrated experience in precision circuit timing
  • Demonstrated experience with electrical engineering tools such as LT Spice and Altium
  • Passion for the space industry

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: $180,000-$240,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Denver or Colorado Springs. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
  • Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
  • Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
