In 1993, Mr. Subramanian Narayanasamy recognized a significant gap in India's educational examination processes. Manual data entry and paper-based evaluation methods were causing significant delays, errors, and inefficiencies for institutions across the country. This realization led to the founding of TRS (Total Reflective Solutions), a pioneering company that would transform how examinations are conducted and managed in India.

TRS Forms & Services (P) Ltd. has grown to become India's leading solution provider for examination-related processes, serving over 150 clients across the country. The company specializes in Optical Mark Reading (OMR) technology and has innovated extensively in post-examination data capturing. TRS introduced the use of barcodes for dummy numbers in Indian universities, developed automatic dummy numbering scanners, and created systems for automatic capture of marks in central evaluation camps. In 2009, TRS launched the FIRE EYE scanner, which remains the only competing product of its kind in the market.

Headquartered in Chennai with branches in New Delhi and Bangalore, TRS operates with an in-house research and development wing and was the first in India among data capturing companies to manufacture its own scanners. The company also developed eMarquer, a digital evaluation platform and On Screen Marking (OSM) software that has become highly sought after. As a long-time partner of ABBYY products in India, TRS provides comprehensive implementation support alongside its software products and internet-based services for examination bodies.
