Work Location: Although this position is 100% remote, we are looking for candidates to live in one of the following geographic areas:-Charlottesville, Virginia-Minneapolis, Minnesota-Raleigh, North Carolina-Chicago, Illinois-Boston, Massachusetts
Job Summary:As the Software Engineering Manager, you will work collaboratively with product management in a Scrum environment to deliver mission-critical B2B integration solutions between TradeCentric's platform and its technology partners like Salesforce, Coupa, BigCommerce, NetSuite, and technology bridges for a wide variety of systems. With an emphasis on reliability, quality, security, and customer outcomes, the endpoint solutions you deliver will directly contribute to customer success and help drive TradeCentric's next phase of growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, continuous improvement, and successful continuous delivery
  • Collaborate closely with product management on prioritization, attainment of long-term product themes, and release goals
  • Create and maintain a conducive environment for the continuous learning and growth of your team members' personal and professional development
  • Ensure effective and constructive communication with product management, team members, and other key stakeholders to deliver valuable, customer-centric solutions
  • Lead by example, contributing throughout the development process including design, reviews, implementation, and testing
  • Champion and enable effective Agile/Scrum processes
  • Use metrics and data to drive continuous improvement across development, quality, and deployment processes

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred
  • A demonstrable history of leading teams to deliver robust software with frequency, with evidence of leadership and technical strength
  • Expertise in crafting a positive, open, and accountable team atmosphere that thrives on transparency and collaboration
  • A natural people leader who leads with empathy and confidence, and effectively manages the performance and growth of his team members
  • Experience in driving Scrum practices and leading Scrum teams
  • Experience with CI/CD methodologies, container technologies, and DevOps automation
  • Strong full stack design and development experience including services, API, scalability, and security, and technologies including Elasticsearch, Logstash, and front-end technologies such as Vue.js, TypeScript, PHP, Zend, Laminas to create responsive and engaging user interfaces
  • Experience with integration technologies and APIs for eCommerce and eProcurement platforms such as Salesforce, BigCommerce, Shopify, Adobe/Magento, Coupa, NetSuite, Ariba, SAP, or similar is a plus
