Lead Frontend Engineer (US Based)

What we're looking for

Themis is looking for a talented software engineer focused on UI and UX to be part of our frontend team. We are bringing to life our vision of making governance accessible and easy for everyone. We are taking workflows typically run on spreadsheets and emails and building beautiful software to make it easier for organizations to adhere to governance requirements and regulations.

We're looking for smart people who are curious, willing to learn and who can embrace a challenge.

What you will contribute

You will be architecting our customer facing portal which will be used by the largest Fintechs and financial companies in the world. The product is receiving constant feedback from customers and we need you to design and solve customer’s needs with a sustainable React design.

Who you are

• You love writing frontend code

• You write clean code, take pride in class design and choose the right level of abstraction

• Tests are your best friend (you can't write too many!)

• You can move fast and take quick decisions

• Assume others will look at your code and document accordingly

• Assume users will do the unexpected and handle error conditions

• Act as a technology generalist, bringing our vision to life will be a challenge.

Qualifications

• We require that you have a history of building responsive and clean user experiences in React, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

• We strongly believe in a person's ability to grow but we would like to see at least 7-10 years of professional software engineering experience.

• We require you to collaborate with cross functional stakeholders so we would like to see a proven track record of collaboration with Product Managers, Designers and Backend engineers

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails

• Familiarity with SQL, databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL

• Experience with Agile Methodologies

• Experience building SaaS Platforms

• Start-up experience

• Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science or a related field
