Job Description

The eCategory leadership team is an indispensable partner to our customers and sales organization, applying a digital lens to our integrative category work. The eCategory Manager will be responsible for leveraging data and insights to deliver eCommerce category strategy that will enable both category and KHC financial growth goals with retail partners. This role will act as the trusted Digital expert for site merch and eCommerce team, influencing digital shelf fundamentals, search, and online merchandising to drive holistic category strategy across digital touchpoints. This role will work across retailers and will implement change management to build and integrate eCategory Management fundamentals throughout the organization.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Digital Category Expert and trusted partner for our retailers and merchants to support strategic business and site planning, enabling eCommerce goals of topline sales growth, online penetration, and category share targets for top categories
  • Provide objective, comprehensive, consumer-based insights and actionable recommendations utilizing tools such as retailer data, internal/syndicated data sources, digital search and site analytics tools, and shopper insights. Examples include Luminate, Digital Landscapes, Madrid, Circana IRI eMarket Insights, Numerator, Flywheel toolset, and instore execution opportunities
  • Lead team to deliver site merch strategy and executional elements such as macro site planning and features, digital food aisle merchandising and wireframes, paid and organic search standards, tentpole hubs and pinning (e.g., back to school), and beyond
  • Collaborate horizontally and vertically with both internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions (merchants, site merchandising, etc.) to align and successfully execute digital category initiatives
  • Lead change management for eCategory initiatives, ensuring adoption of new processes, playbooks, training, tools, and ways of working across catman.
  • Assist on building insights & capabilities around eshelving/taxonomy, attributes, tentpole merchandising/pinning, visual nav, substitutions, variation strategies, paid/organic search standards, macro site planning. Build findings + cross-retailer data to inform best practices and opportunities to grow the category across retailers.

Expected Experience & Required Skills:

  • Passion for high performance and digital success
  • Strong CPG experience in Sales, Category Leadership, Insights, or eCommerce
  • Highly analytical - ability to leverage data sources such as retailer data, internal/syndicated data sources, digital search and site analytics tools, and shopper insights (e.g., Scintilla, Digital Landscapes, Madrid, Circana IRI eMarket Insights, Numerator)
  • Strong storytelling ability through strategic use of visual tools such as PowerPoint and Mekko and a customer mindset presentation style
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, as well as intellectual curiosity, with a proven ability to work on multiple assignments and prioritize
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity with a self-starter, proactive mindset, working to continuously create and define the future of digital category management
  • Strong people and leadership skills, ability to influence and drive change management

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$104,200.00 - $130,200.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
