Strategy is a critical function at the Hershey Company, responsible for shaping enterprise-wide, business unit, and functional strategies. Our US Commercial Strategy team acts as a critical advisor to the Global and US Leadership Teams by framing key choices, providing a well-reasoned point of view, and ensuring choices are made and effectively translated into action.

Manager, US Commercial Strategy
As a member of the team, a Strategy Manager is expected to have a keen understanding of business dynamics and an ability to generate valuable insights for action. He/she will advise senior leaders as a key thought leader, communicating viewpoints in a clear and compelling manner.
•Assisting in the planning and execution of the 3-year Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan for our US Confection business annually
•Maintaining an external mindset that brings together consumer, customer, competitive and macroeconomic trends
•Owning and executing strategy projects with minimal oversight
•Leading complex problem solving and addressing strategic issues/decisions as needed
•Managing, developing, and mentoring small teams of indirect reports on projects from beginning to end with a great deal of autonomy
•Synthesizing and analyzing multiple internal and external data sources including point of sale, household panel, inventory, shipments, P&L statements, etc., to drive to business recommendation and strategies
•Operating the US CMG leadership team governance model, including performance management (OKR) and process improvements

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent marketplace experience highly preferred
Experience: 6+ years of combined experience in leading CPG company or strategic consulting firm. CPG experience highly preferred. Management expertise. Experience leading strategic and data-driven recommendations and decisions. Understanding of market research and techniques. Experience driving change in a complex business environment. Fluency with Excel and PowerPoint.
