We are seeking a qualified and experienced UAS Drone Pilot to safely and efficiently operate drones for precise pesticide application for vegetation management. The primary purpose of this role is to offer a comprehensive solution beyond single-method approaches to ensure targeted treatment of vegetation and balancing the benefits of vegetation control.
Requirements
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Qualify for and obtain FAA Class II or III medical certificate before first day of employment
- Proven experience in operating UAS, particularly with aerial applications
- Substantial understanding of agricultural practices and crop management
- Preferred: Qualified Applicator License (QAL) or ability to obtain one
- Four year degree in Geography, Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar position
- Required FAA Commercial Pilot Certifications/License with Four year degree in Aviation field or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on commercial experience with fixed-wing and/or rotor-wing drones
- Minimum 100 documented flight hours
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Knowledge and proficiency in principles, techniques and applications of unmanned aerial systems (UAS)
- Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience
