The Cooperative

Through groundbreaking technology and collaborative healthcare initiatives, we are revolutionizing maternal and infant health at The Cooperative. Based in South Jersey, The Cooperative serves as the state-licensed Maternal and Child Health Consortium coordinating and supporting maternal-fetal and newborn care across the seven-county region, including Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties. For over 40 years, our organization has been dedicated to building healthier communities through targeted programs that address critical issues such as infant mortality, smoking cessation, lead poisoning, perinatal substance use, and postpartum depression.

Our mission is rooted in collaboration; we work closely with hospitals, public health agencies, universities, healthcare professionals, and the community to develop strategies that enhance the system of care. We prioritize education and resource maximization to ensure that every family has access to the healthcare they deserve. Our subsidiary, Family Health Initiatives, specializes in data management and analysis to support community health improvement efforts. With multiple offices strategically located in Camden, Pennsauken, and Absecon, we are well-positioned to effectively serve the needs of families throughout South Jersey, ensuring that every child has a healthy start in life.
