We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to lead the implementation and maintenance of our Android application using Kotlin. This role is critical for delivering high-quality, secure mobile features that meet product goals and user needs while advancing our CI practices and overall code quality.

The position offers the chance to work closely with design and product teams in an agile environment, drive features from conception to launch, and influence engineering standards through code reviews and automation. Strong technical leadership, deep knowledge of the Android SDK, and excellent communication skills make this role impactful and rewarding.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features in the Android application using Kotlin.
• Develop reliable, maintainable code following object-oriented principles and common design patterns.
• Diagnose and fix bugs, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities in the app.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in and lead code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.
• Build and maintain automated tests and contribute to the continuous integration framework.
• Apply algorithms and data-structure knowledge to optimize app performance and user experience.
• Drive development through the full Android lifecycle from planning to release in an agile process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development or a related field.
• Strong experience with Android development using Kotlin and a deep understanding of the Android SDK.
• Intimate knowledge of common design patterns, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Proven experience leading development through the full Android development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve performance, reliability, and security issues in mobile apps.
• Experience building and maintaining automated tests and improving CI practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Results-oriented, creative, flexible, and a self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively with engineers, managers, Product Management, QA, Load & Performance, and Operations teams.
