The Cost Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on cost data for the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and be able to use various software applications to analyze data.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze cost data from various sources, including invoices, purchase orders, and production records
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Prepare and present cost reports to management
- Work with other departments to identify and eliminate cost-saving opportunities
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cost accounting principles and practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in cost accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
