We are tado°, and since our founding in Munich in 2011, we've been driven by a clear mission: to revolutionize how energy is consumed in homes, making it more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. Our journey began when our founders, Christian Deilmann, Johannes Schwarz, and Valentin Sawadski, envisioned a smarter way to manage home climate. The name 'tado°' itself is a nod to the Japanese greetings 'tadaima' (I'm back home) and 'okaeri' (Welcome back), reflecting our initial key feature of geofencing – intelligently adjusting heating based on your presence.
