About The Role

As Spree's Head of Growth Hacking, you will drive ecosystem expansion by working with Marketing and GTM teams to develop an engaged and responsive community that drives and supports tokenomics. You'll be responsible for developing tokenomics models that drive further market adoptions and hype across the community, while maintaining market health; while creating a community that acts as emissaries of Spree’s thought leadership around rewards and brand engagement.

Your Impact

  • Design and optimize tokenomics models using advanced mathematical modeling, economic theory, and game theory principles to create sustainable and value-accruing token systems
  • Lead token launch strategy and execution, from initial design through TGE (Token Generation Event), including vesting schedules, distribution mechanisms, and go-to-market coordination
  • Drive community growth initiatives working closely with marketing teams to develop engagement strategies that align community incentives with token utility and value creation
  • Create go-to-market strategies for token launches that resonate with crypto-native audiences, including degen communities, memecoin enthusiasts, and DeFi power users
  • Build comprehensive tokenomics simulations to stress-test different scenarios, model user behavior, and predict long-term ecosystem sustainability under various market conditions
  • Develop PR and marketing narratives that effectively communicate complex tokenomics concepts to both technical and retail audiences across Twitter, Discord, Telegram, and other crypto channels
  • Evaluate and audit existing token systems for optimization opportunities, identifying potential exploits, unsustainable mechanics, or misaligned incentives
  • Monitor and analyze post-launch performance, tracking key metrics, community sentiment, and token performance to implement data-driven optimizations
  • Stay ahead of market trends in community engagement, tokenomics design, and emerging best practices in crypto marketing and community building
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business development teams to ensure community goals and incentives align with overall product strategy and user experience

This role is remote first with immediate start. There is a preference for NYC-based candidates to enable occasional colocation with the team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment to achieve ambitious goal
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience designing and launching tokenomics systems with demonstrable success metrics
  • Strong quantitative background with advanced skills in mathematics, economics, and game theory - ability to build complex models and simulations
  • Proven track record of successful Token Generation Events (TGEs) in relevant market segments with measurable community and financial outcomes
  • Deep crypto-native expertise with intimate understanding of DeFi protocols, yield farming mechanics, and token utility design patterns
  • Community building experience with demonstrated ability to grow and engage crypto communities from early stages through launch and beyond
  • Marketing and PR acumen specifically within crypto/web3 spaces, including understanding of degen culture, memecoin dynamics, and viral crypto marketing tactics
  • Technical proficiency in tokenomics modeling tools, on-chain analytics platforms, and ability to interpret smart contract mechanics
  • Data-driven approach with experience using metrics and analytics to optimize tokenomics parameters and marketing strategies
  • Network and relationships within crypto Twitter, Discord, Telegram, DeFi protocols, key opinion leaders, and active community moderators across major crypto Discord servers and Telegram groups
