Are you looking for an exciting opportunity as a Food Service Advisor with Suncor?In this role, you will be responsible for managing a territory of approximately 25 restaurants (QSR) in our Petro-Canada locations in Ontario. Within this territory you will be responsible of key elements of the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) businesses with a focus on driving site level profitability and food safety standards. You will ensure adherence to company standards and legislative requirements within tight operational controls and high corporate expectations. Besides the company standards, they have to ensure that the execution of all QSR brands standards and procedures are consistently applied at locations in order to comply with the franchise agreements.
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree required (preferably a bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field).
- Five to Seven+ years of relevant experience in retail or food service, with proven success in driving business growth and operational improvements.
- Direct field selling operating experience, including an advanced understanding of food cost management, labor systems, and operational efficiency.
- Experience managing and resolving issues, risks, and prioritizing needs raised by senior stakeholders (e.g., National Manager Retail Programs, Food Service), with the ability to act decisively and with accountability.
- Proven execution skills, demonstrating the ability to develop and implement strategies effectively, translating plans into actionable results.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across multiple teams and functions, including external partners.
- Continuous improvement mindset, always seeking innovative ways to enhance operating procedures, increase productivity, and improve site-level profitability.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively (written, oral, presentations) to diverse audiences at all levels of the organization
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the execution of the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operating procedures in our Petro-Canada locations in order to drive safe, reliable and profitable operations
- Manage the QSR partners business manager relationships at the field level and ensure a collaboration with their counterpart
- Accountable for managing the audit process for a designated territory in ensuring adherence to all food safety requirements (food safety, mini audits, coffee audits, cleanliness). This involves, compliance at all times with Food Safety regulations and applications.
- Develop action plans for the retailers to close gaps in Food Safety Issue. Zero tolerance when there is food issue. Work closely with the Territory Manager - Retail Licensee and the Specialist Operations Support Advisor
- Plays a key role in costs controls in order to meet projected National profitability (control of COGS, Labour, discounts, waste and other food supplies). This is executed through non-authoritative leadership
Location and other key details:
- Remote job based in Ontario, this role requires the successful individual to work/travel within the region 4 days per week
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs.
