What You’ll Do

As a Packing Engineer Contractor based in Xiamen, you will work closely with our manufacturing partners to develop and implement cost-effective and sustainable packaging solutions for our lighting products. This role focuses on analyzing and reducing packaging costs while maintaining quality, functionality, and compliance with environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing packaging designs and processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with manufacturers in Xiamen to design and develop optimized packaging solutions.
• Evaluate materials, structural designs, and suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and quality.
• Conduct testing and validation of new packaging designs to meet performance and safety standards.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations to address packaging-related challenges.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability standards for packaging.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation on cost savings, material selections, and packaging designs.
• Liaise directly with manufacturing teams in Xiamen to oversee implementation and improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in packaging design, cost analysis, or engineering, preferably in the lighting or electronics industry.
• Proven experience working with manufacturers in China, particularly in Xiamen or nearby regions.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and testing standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in CAD software and packaging design tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across cultures.
• Proficiency in English is Mandatory.

Compensation:

• $3,000–$4,000 USD per month, based on experience and qualifications.

Contract Terms:

• Duration: 1-year contract subject to renewal.
• Travel Requirements: Primarily based in Xiamen with occasional travel to nearby manufacturing sites as needed.
