A vacancy has arisen for the post of Community Library Officer (part-time) at The Thomas Graham Library in Strathblane.

You will assist in the development, operation and delivery of a range of library services, engaging with the community and encouraging use by all age groups.

You will be educated to standard grade or equivalent, be interested in literature and have good ICT skills.

A flexible approach to the working week, which includes evening and weekend working, is essential.

You may be required to work in other locations.

You will have good communication skills, be customer focussed and able to work unsupervised.

Previous library experience and experience of using a Library Management System is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children and Adults.

  • 30 days annual leave plus 7 public holidays (rising to 35 after 5 years continuous service)
  • Pro-rated for part time roles.
  • Flexible working including hybrid office/work from home arrangements where the role allows .

  • Biennial incremental progression until top of your payscale is reached
