The Job:

As a Cyber Governance and Compliance Specialist, you’ll be part of our Cyber Security Office located virtually. You’ll get to:

  • You will ensure our cybersecurity practices align with corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.
  • As a key player in our organization, you will contribute to developing, implementing, and maintaining robust cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • You will work closely with IT teams, security teams, business units, and senior management to document policies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • You will work as part of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance team in the Cyber Security Office (CSO) and will learn all aspects of the function to support our cybersecurity risk reduction initiatives.
  • Lead and maintain cyber governance and compliance to ISO 27001.
  • Implement cyber policies and procedures to align to ISO 27001.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Assist in designing and implementing cybersecurity governance frameworks ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Provide expertise in interpreting and applying cybersecurity regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor regulatory requirements and industry standards changes, ensuring timely updates to cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with IT and security teams to identify and address gaps in governance and compliance.

The Person:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cyber policy writing and/or cyber risk management.
  • Relevant cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CC, CISM, CRISC or CISA are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Experience developing and implementing cyber security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Experience conducting gaps assessments
  • Strong knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Cyber Security Framework, Center for Internet Security
  • Knowledge of management of GRC tools such as ServiceNow IRM a plus
