We are Spanflug, a technology company with a mission to revolutionize the manufacturing industry. Our journey began in 2018 as a spin-off from the prestigious Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). The idea sparked when our founder, Markus Westermeier, witnessed firsthand the inefficiencies in procuring custom-machined parts. We knew there had to be a better way. That's why we created an intelligent platform to seamlessly connect supply and demand for manufacturing parts, automating complex and time-consuming processes. Our goal is to make the procurement and manufacturing of individual drawing parts as simple and efficient as possible for both buyers and suppliers.

At the heart of our platform lies a technologically advanced algorithm, powered by AI, that automates everything from price calculation to selecting the ideal machine with available capacity. This allows us to offer instant pricing for custom CNC machined parts based on a CAD file, drastically reducing the time from inquiry to order from days to just a minute. For our customers, this means access to scalable manufacturing capacities and increased agility. For our manufacturing partners, it means better machine utilization and a new, attractive revenue stream. We are proud to have built a network of over 6,000 machines and served over 4,000 satisfied customers. We are continuously developing our core technology, supported by strategic partners like the German Machine Tool Builders' Association (VDW) and CERATIZIT, to bring even more value to our users and expand our solutions to a broader international market.
