SQL System Administrator

What you’ll do:

• Monitor database and instance performance and db health, ensuring minimal downtime
• Perform backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures
• Help with database migrations, upgrades, and patching
• Provide support for application deployment and data access issues
• Manage user access and permissions in SQL Server, including roles and security groups
• Analyze query execution plans and identify bottlenecks
• Create regular reports on database performance, incidents, and uptime
• Investigate and resolve database-related issues such as data corruption, deadlocks, or connectivity problems
• Collaborating with internal teams, customer IT teams and application vendors to ensure environments meet best practices and standards

What we expect:

• A minimum of 1+ years working with SQL Server environments
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and basic networking
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and experience in windows domain ecosystem
• Familiarity with deploying SQL Server patches and updates
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to assist end-users.
• Familiarity with Azure Fabric or Synapse are plus
• Microsoft SQL Server certifications are plus
