Job Description:
Support the F/A-18 & EA-18G Maintenance Readiness Team (MRT) and Commander, Strike Fighter Wing Pacific; Commander, Strike Fighter Wing Atlantic and; Commander, Electronic Attack Wing Pacific (CSFWP/CSFWL/CVWP). Provide assistance in the following areas:
1. Participate in NAVAIR Reliability Control Board projects.
2. Provide support to Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) events in support of current Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) initiatives.
3. Observe and participate in F/18 Organizational level post-deployment Material Condition Inspections (MCI), PMI, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC), Service Life Management (SLM) and High Flight Hour (HFH) events to improve organizational level awareness of corrosion-prone areas.
4. Collect maintenance data on corrosion prevention methods and training to recognize defective methodologies and conditions that could potentially induce corrosion.
5. Provide maintainers and MRT lead organizational level data entry issues/solutions to improve Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) data collection and analysis.
6. Provide reports/recommendations in coordination with MRT Lead requirements to reduce corrosion in-service repairs (ISR) and improve aircraft incoming material condition at PMI events.
7. Create/produce high level presentations, reports, publications, and point papers.
8. Interface with all levels of F/A-18 Maintenance, including Organizational (Fleet), Depot Level, Subject Matter Expert, Engineering, Program Office Personnel, and all levels of the assigned military chain of command required, including senior leadership. As a result, excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Experience: At least fifteen (15) years in a "Relevant Technical Discipline". Minimum of 8 years Naval Aviation Maintenance experience desired. Familiarity with USN/USMC programs, NAVAIR data source applications, CNAF 4790, and F/18 IETM is required. Advanced Microsoft product experience is preferred.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Current Secret clearance is required.
No per diem. Work location at NAS Whidbey Island, WA area.
Base Salary Range: $35.00-$40.00/ per hour range
This base pay range is specific to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Washington, and any other state that may require such disclosure. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
