The Role

TheeLearning Editor supports our internal eLearning team, which focuses on driver training and engagement for a global suite of clients. The role’s responsibilities include editing scripts for content and grammar, researching best practices on a wide range of defensive driving topics, maintaining various guides, testing completed courses in dozens of languages, and more. To be successful in this role, you should be an excellent communicator who is able to work through the content cycle to deliver high-quality end products. You should have strong editing and grammar skills, as well as an eye for functionality for end users. Ultimately, you will maintain excellent standards and ensure high satisfaction for our customers who utilize training.

What You’ll Do

  • Edit course scripts for content, style, grammar, consistency, and accuracy.

  • Review developed courses and content to ensure features and interactions are working per narration, timing of animations are in sync, captioning and on-screen text are accurate and timed properly, and buttons or actions are working properly.

  • Review chapter-end quizzes and final exams for accuracy.

  • Provide clear and concise edits and recommendations back to development teams to ensure a timely and efficient delivery of recommended changes.

  • Manage course translation projects, from initial kickoff to final delivery.

  • Conduct quality audits, assure company standards are maintained, and product integrity is preserved, and be the final set of eyes before a new product rolls out to market.

  • Keep assigned course content up to date.

  • Perform statistical and law research on various topics, ensuring course details are backed up by quality sources.

  • Identify existing content (both electronic and hard copy) for courses based on requirements.

  • ·Assure quality standards and regulatory requirements (where applicable) are met when editing any course materials.

  • Manage documentation (both electronic and hard copy) for assigned course updates, changes, and revisions.

  • Keep accurate and detailed files for assigned course components and development.

  • Assist Instructional Designers and other teams in creation of courses or editing of documents.

  • Maintain editing style guides and SOPs.

  • Maintain organized and properly labeled digital asset of videos, audio, photo, and other course files.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3-5 years' experience in content editing and research, ideally supporting software and data solutions

  • Previous content editing experience and experience working with eLearning content

  • Excellent English grammar, spelling, punctuation, usage, technical writing

  • Communication skills to work closely with a cohesive team of Instructional Design, Multimedia & eLearning Developers, Marketing and leadership in leveraging common information in the development of content

  • Ability to understand and explain technical details clearly to technical people and non-technical people alike

  • Excellent communication, presentation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Familiarity with reviewing localized content is a plus
