Your role:

As a global marketing organization (GMO) member, you'll help tell our story and extend our brand equity by artfully uniting people, products, experiences, and brands. You'll oversee the planning, development, and execution of our brands' community, partner, and corporate events. Your work will include managing branded events across the globe, including trade shows, photo walks, photography festivals, and community gatherings, ensuring each event is a memorable experience that enhances brand visibility, drives engagement, and fosters community.

Your opportunity:

  • Program Leadership: Collaborating with the marketing, sales, product, and executive leadership teams, develop and manage our global events and engagement strategy.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Plan and oversee all aspects of event management, from conceptualization to execution, including scheduling, staffing, and logistics.
  • Events Calendar: Design, manage, and maintain our annual calendar of events for all brands and functions, providing clarity on our events roadmap and alignment with the Marcomm calendar.
  • Vendor and Venue Coordination: Negotiate with vendors and secure venues, ensuring all services meet our quality standards and align with budget expectations.
  • SWAG Management: Manage the production and distribution of company SWAG (Stuff We All Get) for events, including maintaining the company swag store. Ensure high-quality merchandise production that aligns with brand identity.
  • Community Engagement: Develop strategies to increase brand engagement across different platforms and at live events, ensuring our brand stories and values are consistently communicated.
  • Budget Management: Create and manage the annual events budget and budgets for each event, ensuring maximum ROI through strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and community leaders to ensure successful event outcomes. Provide regular updates to stakeholders about event progress and post-event reports.

What you bring:

  • Progressive leadership experience, with specific success in event management, event marketing, and project management.
  • A unique balance of creativity, operational management, and marketing skills, including Project Management.
  • Ability to thrive and create impact in an agile, creative, multi-project environment
  • Balanced collaboration style, possessing a high level of intellectual agility, a capacity for original thought, and the ability to define and communicate a clear vision.

Awesome is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $95,000–$146,000 (with a highly competitive, uncapped commission plan). This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
