In this role, you will design and build custom automated test frameworks, develop automation across full-stack systems, and ensure the reliability and quality of gameplay features, game services, and player-facing tools.
You’ll work closely with developers, designers, and product teams to maintain high-quality standards across multiple platforms, ensuring our players experience smooth, engaging, and polished gameplay at all times.
This role requires a deep understanding of game development processes and hands-on experience testing game systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom automated test frameworks for game systems, gameplay features, services, and full-stack components.
  • Build automated tests for gameplay logic, UI, APIs, web tools, backend services, and engine-level features.
  • Perform compatibility, performance, stability, and regression testing across multiple platforms and devices.
  • Conduct build verification testing (BVT) to ensure daily build integrity and readiness.
  • Work closely with game developers, technical designers, and product teams to ensure new features are testable and stable.
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
  • Investigate failures, debug issues, and provide clear, actionable bug reports.
  • Integrate and maintain automated tests in CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality.
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover gameplay issues, edge cases, and UX inconsistencies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tooling, and automation coverage.

Requirements

  • Mandatory: Professional experience in the gaming industry (QA, SDET, Game Tester, Game Developer, or similar role).
  • Strong background in Quality Assurance for games: functionality, compatibility, performance, UX, and regression testing.
  • Experience working in a full-stack development environment (backend services, UI, game clients, tools).
  • Hands-on experience building or maintaining custom automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language used for automation (e.g., Python, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Experience automating tests for APIs, services, and game or engine components.
  • Understanding of gameplay systems, player experience, and common issues in game development.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to write clear documentation and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and passion for delivering high-quality gaming experiences.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with game engines such as Unity, Unreal, or proprietary engines.
  • Background in game programming or tool development.
  • Familiarity with multiplayer systems, networking logic, or online game services.
  • Experience with performance profiling, telemetry, or diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Rest-Assured.
  • Experience testing cross-platform titles (PC, console, mobile).
  • Understanding of platform certification requirements (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, etc.).

Benefits

  • Fixed Shifts: 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM IST (Winter)
  • No Weekend Work: Real work-life balance, not just words
