About the Role
We’re looking for a Salesforce Engineer to join our growing team and take ownership of building, integrating, and optimising Salesforce solutions across the business. This is a long-term, hands-on engineering role where you’ll work across the full Salesforce ecosystem — from Apex and Lightning Web Components to APIs, integrations, and automation.
You’ll collaborate with internal teams and third-party partners to design secure, scalable, and efficient systems that enhance business operations and customer engagement.
The ideal candidate combines strong Salesforce development experience with excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Salesforce Development – Build, maintain, and optimise Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) for scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions.
- API Design & Integration – Develop and manage Salesforce REST, SOAP, Bulk, and Streaming APIs; integrate Salesforce with third-party systems such as Sage, Azure, M-Bus, and PayPoint.
- Configuration & Automation – Implement and maintain Salesforce Flows, automation rules, and security models to meet business requirements.
- Data Management & Security – Design and maintain Salesforce data models, ensuring alignment with best practices for security, sharing, and governance.
- CI/CD & Version Control – Use tools like Git, Copado, or Gearset to manage deployments, source control, and release management.
- Cross-System Integration – Leverage MuleSoft, Boomi, or Postman for seamless data exchange and middleware integration.
- Front-End Development – Contribute to UI enhancements and front-end integrations using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and optionally ReactJS or Angular.
- Collaboration – Work within Agile/Scrum or DevOps teams to deliver incremental improvements, resolve issues quickly, and support deployment readiness.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document solutions, and provide technical expertise across teams.
- Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to optimise existing Salesforce configurations, integrations, and automation workflows.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience developing on Salesforce using Apex and Visualforce.
- 2+ years working with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura Components.
- 3+ years integrating Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Streaming).
- 3+ years configuring Salesforce (Flows, automation, and security models).
- 2+ years experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems (e.g., Sage, Azure, M-Bus, PayPoint).
- 2+ years in front-end web development using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- 2+ years experience with CI/CD and version control tools (Git, Copado, Gearset).
- Solid understanding of Salesforce Data Models, Security, and Sharing Rules.
- Experience using middleware and integration tools such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Postman.
- Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum principles, including sprint collaboration and delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of translating technical solutions into clear business outcomes.
Nice to Have
- Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification (or equivalent proven hands-on experience).
- Experience with TypeScript, ReactJS, Redux, or similar front-end frameworks (Vue.js or Angular).
- Familiarity with DevOps project management environments (Kanban, CI/CD pipelines).
- Prior experience with financial or enterprise system integrations.
