Yard Operative

We currently have a great new opportunity for a Yard Operative to join our friendly but driven team at our Glasgow Depot. Our Vehicle Hire Division hire a range of light commercial vehicles to companies ranging from blue chip corporations and public sector organisations to medium sized enterprises. To further support our progress, the Yard Operative will take on the responsibilities of managing the organisation of the on-site fleet to a high standard to assist the Depot manager and other departments.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Organise and maintain control of on-site fleet,
• Key control for the depot fleet,
• Communicate with Hire Desk, Maintenance and Damages to ensure on-site vehicle movements are accurate and timely,
• Assist in the scheduling of maintenance of vehicles and facilities,
• Delivery and collection of vehicles when required.
• Responsible for preparation, valeting and refuelling of vehicles when required,

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the yard at all times,

• Complying with health and safety policy and procedures at all times

• Driven, self-motivated, able to think on your feet and work well under pressure.
• Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to deliver quality and safety with every vehicle.
• Experience of working with customers as an ambassador of the Company

• Excellent punctuality
• Valid driver's licence
