- Source new carriers to expand and strengthen the logistics network
- Create and negotiate contracts with new carriers, ensuring competitive pricing and favorable terms
- Renegotiate existing pricing/contracts to align with market conditions and business needs
- Request project-based pricing for special shipping needs
- Build and maintain strong carrier relationships, acting as the primary point of contact
- Communicate Shipcloud’s strategy and product vision to carriers
- Define the carrier strategy for the solutions design team
- Identify opportunities to grow our business
- Monitor market trends and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly
- Conduct business reviews with carriers to optimize performance and identify opportunities
- Optimize our network of cross-dock hubs and linehauls
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Professional Services) to enhance procurement efficiency
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of procurement/parcel logistics experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Solid knowledge of last-mile carriers in Europe.
- Having a network of carrier contacts.
- Strong negotiation, sourcing, and carrier management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Very good English and German/Dutch language skills
