SUMMARY
The Software Engineering Team Lead serves as a hands-on technical leader responsible for guiding a team of developers in delivering high-quality, maintainable software. This role blends active development with leadership, supporting team execution, fostering a collaborative culture, and promoting engineering best practices. In addition to overseeing day-to-day delivery, the Team Lead partners with architecture, business analysts, and operations to ensure solutions are aligned with standards and built for long-term support. The role also supports team growth through coaching, career development, and performance feedback, while representing the team in technical and business-facing discussions as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Serve as a hands-on technical leader, actively contributing to development while guiding the team in executing sprint commitments and delivering solutions.
- Champion engineering excellence by modeling clean, maintainable code and reinforcing best practices in code quality, and peer reviews.
- Develop and empower team members through technical coaching, career growth planning, and consistent, constructive feedback.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering leadership, architecture, and business analysis to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), identifying and implementing process enhancements that increase quality, predictability, and efficiency.
- Proactively remove obstacles to delivery, promote accountability, and cultivate a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
- Represent the team in business-facing discussions when needed, helping clarify technical implications and ensuring alignment on goals and expectations.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in software development, solution design, or systems integration.
- 1+ years in a leadership or mentorship capacity within a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Strong working knowledge of agile principles and hybrid delivery models.
- Experience developing cloud-based applications and applying modern architecture patterns.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages and familiar with multi-platform development environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through ambiguity with sound technical judgment and a solutions-oriented mindset.

- Sedentary work.
