We are currently searching for a Remote Senior Database Administrator (Sr DBA):

Responsibilities:

• Manage large-scale RDBMS and NoSQL systems, including database migrations.
• Administer and optimize databases such as Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Perform SQL query optimization and troubleshoot across multiple database platforms.
• Monitor and improve database performance using specialized tools.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance database solutions.
• Apply data security best practices to protect sensitive information.
• Develop and maintain Shell and Unix scripts to automate routine tasks, backups, data migrations, and system monitoring.
• Support 24/7 production environments and ensure database reliability.
• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver customer-oriented solutions.
• Operate effectively within Cloud, Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps environments.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale RDBMS and NoSQL systems, including database migrations.
• Proficiency in Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and troubleshooting across multiple platforms.
• Familiarity with database performance monitoring and optimization tools.
• Ability to design secure, scalable, and high-performance database solutions.
• Knowledge of data security best practices.
• Experience working with Shell and Unix scripting for database automation.
• Prior experience supporting 24/7 production websites.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Desired:

• Experience in Cloud, Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps environments.

Languages:

• Advanced Oral English.
• Native Spanish.
