As an Insights Analyst at Sensor Tower, you'll be at the forefront of creating and publishing customer-facing research on the global digital economy. You will leverage our extensive data on mobile apps and games, advertising networks, and PC & console games to identify emerging trends and opportunities. Based on your findings, you will craft compelling reports, blogs, and analyses for audiences in China, India, and Southeast Asia.The ultimate goal of this position is to provide our customers and the industry with meaningful, actionable insights that drive our business growth. This is an ideal role for an analyst who wants to work with large, complex datasets in an exciting, rapidly evolving market.

What the Insights Analyst will do:

  • Analyze large, extensive datasets to generate insights for external-facing content.
  • Create clear and compelling data visualizations for both internal and external use, including reports and blog posts.
  • Collaborate with Field Marketing Managers, Insights Strategists, and the APAC Sales team to create tailored content that supports local events and marketing activities to boost lead generation in the APAC region.
  • Research and implement content and publishing strategies and channels that align with our business goals, with a focus on China, India, and Southeast Asia.
  • Work closely with leaders across various functional teams to address their immediate, ad-hoc data insight needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local media to build Sensor Tower's brand awareness in key verticals like gaming, e-commerce, tech, and finance, particularly in China, India and Southeast Asia.

Experience and skills the candidate can bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field with a strong statistical foundation.
  • Strong proficiency with one or more data visualization or graphing toolkits (e.g., MS Excel, Tableau).
  • A passion for data analysis and the presentation of data-driven insights.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail in both Chinese and English. Please attach writing samples in Chinese/English with your application.
  • Proficiency in both Mandarin and English.

Extra credit:

  • 3+ years of applied experience in business intelligence, analytics, or statistical modeling.
  • Or 3+ years as a journalist or editor in gaming or financial media.
  • Experience in the mobile or gaming industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SEO and SEM principles and experience with platforms such as Google Ads or Account-Based Marketing (AMB) via platforms like LinkedIn is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the media landscape in India and Southeast Asia is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in developing and writing compelling case studies that demonstrate the business impact of data-driven insights.
  • A self-starting attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
