Purpose

The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a critical role in driving sustainable business growth for Securitas Technology Ireland by identifying new commercial opportunities, building and nurturing strategic relationships, and ensuring consistent revenue expansion. This position blends sales expertise, market intelligence, and strategic planning to support the company’s long-term growth objectives.

Operating across the Republic of Ireland, the role requires elements travel to engage with clients, prospects, and partners.

As a Business Development Manager, you will join a proactive, fast-paced, and supportive sales team focused on expanding our customer base and accelerating growth across new and existing market segments. You will champion Securitas Technology’s portfolio of advanced technical solutions, helping to deliver best-in-class security technology to some of the most recognised organisations in the Irish market.

What you'll be doing

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across the Republic of Ireland, expanding our customer base and strengthening market presence
  • Prospect for potential clients, generate qualified leads, and convert opportunities into long-term strategic partnerships
  • Prepare and participate in tenders, proposals, and commercial negotiations to secure new contracts
  • Develop and execute targeted business development strategies aligned with Securitas Technology Ireland’s commercial objectives
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform strategic planning and support product and service innovation
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients—acting as a strategic advisor and providing tailored security technology solutions
  • Drive revenue growth by meeting or exceeding sales targets and expanding recurring revenue through upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure seamless solution development and delivery
  • Educate clients on Securitas Technology’s offerings, ensuring they understand the value, capabilities, and suitability of proposed solutions
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring successful onboarding, ongoing engagement, and effective issue resolution

Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven track record in electronic security sales, with experience delivering solutions that meet customer and industry requirements
  • Strong understanding of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and convert a robust sales pipeline
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to assess customer needs and propose value-driven solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident, professional client-facing approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and OneNote
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a technical security sales role within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
