Role Summary
As the Salesforce Engineering Manager, you will lead the development execution across our dual-org environment, supporting mission-critical operations for our Consumer Services and our National and Field Sales teams. You will be responsible for the successful execution, delivery, and deployment of Salesforce solutions. Working in close partnership with the product team, architects, and business partners you will focus on technical feasibility, design evaluation, driving AI-assisted productivity, and maintaining a high-velocity delivery pipeline. Your primary goal is to ensure the development team meets its commitments while maintaining the highest standards of code quality and system stability.

Key Responsibilities
Execution & Delivery Management

-Sprint Execution: Partner with the technical and functional product teams to translate prioritized requirements and high-level designs into actionable development tasks and sprint plans.
-Delivery Accountability: Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, ensuring the team meets deadlines and delivers work that aligns with business objectives.
-Bottleneck Mitigation: Proactively identify and resolve technical or resource-based blockers to maintain consistent team velocity.

Design Evaluation & Technical Oversight
-Feasibility Reviews: Critically evaluate technical designs provided by architects to ensure they are buildable, scalable, and follow Salesforce best practices.
-Code Quality: Establish and enforce coding standards, conducting regular code reviews to ensure maintainability and performance.
-Standardization: Ensure the team adheres to established architectural frameworks and organizational technical standards.

Team Leadership & People Management
Mentorship: Direct, coach, and mentor multiple teams of Salesforce developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Capacity Planning: Manage resource allocation and team bandwidth to ensure the development pipeline remains optimized.
Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to ensure a high-performing development culture.

Deployment & Operational Stability
Release Management: Take primary ownership of the deployment process, ensuring smooth transitions from sandbox environments to production.
CI/CD Oversight: Maintain and improve robust CI/CD pipelines and automated testing suites to reduce deployment risks.
Post-Deployment Support: Ensure system stability post-launch by overseeing bug fixes and technical debt management.

AI Advocacy & Team Enablement
Tool Adoption: Lead the evaluation and rollout of AI-driven development tools to enhance the team’s coding efficiency and accuracy.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to utilize AI for automating repetitive tasks
Best Practices: Establish guidelines for the ethical and secure use of AI within the development lifecycle, ensuring all AI-generated output meets organizational standards for security and performance.

Qualifications & Requirements
-Experience: 5+ years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with at least 2 years in a dedicated people management or team lead role.
-Technical Depth: Strong understanding of Apex, LWC, and Salesforce integrations; ability to read and critique complex technical designs.
-Execution Focus: Proven track record of managing high-volume development cycles and meeting delivery milestones.
-Collaborative Mindset: Experience working closely with Product Managers and Architects in a structured agile environment.
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or or equivalent work experience.

The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $140,000.00 - $164,700.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.In addition to the determined base salary, this role is also incentive eligible under our corporate bonus programs.For remote roles where the final candidate resides in Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oregon or Washington, state required pay thresholds will be factored into base salary.
