Job Description:

The Implementation Quality Assurance Lead is a client facing role, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager. Under minimal supervision, the Implementation Quality Assurance Lead works closely with other QA Analysts, Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Management to ensure high-quality requirements, designs, development, and releases of solutions software. Performs and guides functional and regression testing to identify system defects and opportunities for improved system quality. Responsible for client facing quality metrics and reporting, attending client facing meetings, and providing support for critical issues. Provides assistance and mentoring to less experienced analysts.

  • Understands and adheres to internal methodologies, processes, and procedures
  • Collaborates with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Architects, Developers, QA Analysts, and client to support client deliverables
  • Reviews and validates requirements and technical specifications
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive test cases from documented business requirements and standards documentation
  • Develops and executes regression test plans for client releases
  • Executes black box and white box test cases, including UI, batch, interface, and API level tests
  • Uses defect-tracking tool to analyze, report, and track application defects and enhancement change requests
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes client reported issues and defects
  • Leads and directs the work of other QA Analysts on project team, both onshore and offshore
  • Provides client facing metrics and reporting
  • Attends client facing meetings
  • Communicates professionally at all levels within the organization and with clients

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology (or related field of study) or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient at documenting test cases and test plans based on technical and business requirement documents
  • Strong experience with QA process - evaluating and testing new or modified software programs
  • Comfortable leading and contributing in meetings consisting of peers and supervisors
  • Comfortable interacting directly with clients to share quality metrics and reporting
  • Comfortable leading and directing the work of other QA analysts both onshore and offshore
  • 7+ years software testing experience; Compensation or Industry experience a plus
  • 7+ years conducting system and regression tests
  • 7+ years of experience in working with Web Based and/or Client Server systems with ability to write SQL scripts
  • 7+ years of experience with defect tracking tool – Jira preferred
  • General knowledge of automated testing tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education/Certification/Training:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent education in a related discipline. Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement.

Travel:

  • Occasional Travel to client sites will be required and will vary with project assignment.
