Salary: £70,000 - £95,000 per annum (salary dependent on experience and match to post)

About the Role

As a Lead Developer, you will take on a critical role in balancing hands-on engineering with team leadership. Your mission will be to drive software projects that align with the business goals, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and innovative software solutions. You will mentor an already capable team and support engineers, fostering a team culture of collaboration and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead software strategy and architecture
• Mentor and develop team members
• Ownership of the full software development lifecycle
• Cross-Functional collaboration
• Drive innovation and implement best practices
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving

Experience

• Years in software engineering with at least 1 year in a Principal or team lead role.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring high-performing software engineering teams.
• Typescript / Javascript development experience with a strong foundation in system architecture, design patterns, and scalable solutions.
• Strong web application and restful API skills.
• Strong database skills.
• Good AWS knowledge.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirables

• DynamoDB and/or Elasticsearch
• Lambda functions

Remuneration Package

• Permanent contract
• Up to £95,000 per annum
• Flexible working hours (core hours of 10 am - 4 pm)
